Meet The Founder
Hi friends, I’m Maya! I’ve always been drawn to stories and how they bring people together. That passion has taken me from working in TV to creative agencies, IT startups, and eventually to the largest humanitarian organization in the world, where I led social media and digital communications strategy.
Over the past 8+ years, I’ve combined my background in marketing and law (yes, I’m both a marketer and a lawyer) to understand not just how to create powerful stories, but how to do it with purpose and responsibility.
After seeing how much misinformation spreads online, I wanted to create something that stood for the opposite: an approach to digital storytelling built on honesty, creativity, and impact.
That vision became Colibré Creative, my own agency, where I’ve channeled everything I’ve learned to help brands and professionals communicate with authenticity, inspire their audiences, and make a real difference in the digital space. We currently work in four languages: English, Spanish, Russian, and French, because to me, real communication starts when people feel truly understood.
What Does Colibré mean?
In Spanish, colibrí means ‘hummingbird’, a symbol of energy, joy, and resilience while libre means ‘free’. Together they form Colibré, a name that reflects creativity without limits. The hummingbird moves with purpose and grace, always finding beauty in motion, which felt like the perfect reflection of how we approach storytelling and design. Maybe it is symbolic, maybe it is fate, but it just felt right.
Who is Colibré for?
Colibré is NOT for everyone and that’s intentional. We believe that in an age of misinformation, creativity should serve truth and integrity. Our work is for professionals and businesses who value authenticity, expertise, and real impact. We have an extensive vetting process to ensure we only collaborate with those who share our values. We’ll never work with companies that harm people and/or animals, sell unlicensed or misleading courses, or provide advice without proper qualifications.
We stand behind professionals who have earned their credibility and deserve a bigger platform to share it. That’s why we focus exclusively on select industries where knowledge, trust, and care truly matter. These are the industries we currently work with:
